"tatuta age" is japanese style fried fish, most often soy-flavoured mackerel. It is enjoyed by the Japanese all year round. Small pieces of fish are marinated in a tangy mix of soy sauce, sake, garlic and ginger, deep-fried.
I add curry powder , so kid can eat this.
Ingredients:
750 g Mackerel fillets
---FOR THE MARINADE--- white wine 6 tablespoon soy sauce 3 tablespoon ginger (grate) 1 cm -------------------------------
curry powder 2 tablespoon starch 5 tablespoon
Process:
1. Lay the mackerel fillets in the marinade 10 or 20 min. 2.Remove the mackerel fillets from the marinade. 3. In a large mixing bowl, mix curry powder and starch. 4. Heat oil to 375 degrees and maintain heat. 5.Coat fish with (3) and deep fry about 1 to 2 minutes. 6. Remove and drain on a paper.
