tatuta age (curry taste)

"tatuta age" is japanese style fried fish, most often soy-flavoured mackerel. It is enjoyed by the Japanese all year round. Small pieces of fish are marinated in a tangy mix of soy sauce, sake, garlic and ginger, deep-fried.

I add curry powder , so kid can eat this.

           Ingredients:

750 g Mackerel fillets

---FOR THE MARINADE---
white wine       6 tablespoon
soy sauce        3 tablespoon
ginger (grate)     1 cm
-------------------------------

curry powder   2 tablespoon
starch              5 tablespoon

Process:

1. Lay the mackerel fillets in the marinade 10 or 20 min.
2.Remove the mackerel fillets from the marinade.
3. In a large mixing bowl, mix curry powder and starch.
4. Heat oil to 375 degrees and maintain heat.
5.Coat fish with (3) and deep fry about 1 to 2 minutes.
6. Remove and drain on a paper.
